All Voices Welcome!
Open sing night
Singing this Fall doesn’t have to be a fright!
A Cappella Open Singing Night

We’ve heard it said that singing in public, to many people, is scarier than death. Well, we don’t buy it! We’ve also heard experts say that, simply, everyone has the same equipment, the voice as a musical instrument, and we can all use it to sing. Somerset Hills Harmony started earlier this year with a purpose of holding events where EVERYONE can sing, and do so without the anxiety of doing it in front of an audience.

Join in our upcoming “Open Sing” nights where you have the opportunity to meet other interested singers and test drive a few fun holiday songs. All voices, from soprano to basso-profundo, are welcome! The evenings will be led by some of the most esteemed choral directors in the area. A great opportunity to sing modern arrangements with other talented singers. We have singers that had never sung in a choir before to those with music degrees - but you wouldn't know who is who when you see us perform!

What will we sing? As we turn from Pumpkin Spice Lattes to Peppermint Mochas, it will soon be time to usher in winter and the holiday season. While we love to deck the halls and rock our jingle bells, for this year’s Open Sing Nights Somerset Hills Harmony has opted for three stand out songs: an impressively singable arrangement of a Pentatonix original (the Grammy Award winning a cappella stars), an up tempo version of “Go Tell It on the Mountain” like you have never heard it before AND a song arranged just for us, from a local singer-songwriter that made it onto a national McDonald’s commercial.

Could I Sing in Public too? Sure! Somerset Hills Harmony will be will be performing these songs several times over the holiday season. You are free to join in the fun all the way from the Open Sing Nights through the performances in December. We look forward to singing with you no matter how far you decide to continue!

Do I Need Experience Singing in a Choir? Nah! You will be side by side with experienced a cappella singers and newbies alike. There are no auditions and no requirements that you have prior singing experience or that you can read sheet music. While these are great, they are not a perquisite. We will give you the tools, and confidence, to succeed.

OPEN SING NIGHTS ARE MONDAY, OCTOBER 14TH, MONDAY, OCTOBER 28TH AND MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11TH. Feel free to attend any or all nights as we will be building on the fun we have each week.

We meet at the Pluckemin Presbyterian Church, 279 Routes 202-206 Pluckemin, NJ (thought not affiliated with the Church)

RSVP on eventbrite and will send you the learning materials to give you an edge before the Open Sing Night.  Send any questions to us at
