What are people saying about their experience in Somerset Hills Harmony?
When I graduated from college after co-leading a mixed a cappella group, I really missed the combination of fun, friendship and music that we had shared. In Somerset Hills Harmony I have found that and more. I love the music we sing, and I love my a cappella family in Somerset Hills Harmony.

I joined Somerset Hills Harmony because I was seeking an a cappella choir (mixed voices preferred) and one that sang more than barbershop. It was about the music, but also about the group/people. Since joining, I have enjoyed being around others wishing to learn and grow in their individual and collective musicality. Rehearsals are fun, and I feel that I learn something from each session. So glad that I joined SHH. Wished I had discovered SHH years ago!

I started singing with this chorus when it was an all-male ensemble. We worked hard, but we struggled with numbers. Since going mixed in 2019, we have more than doubled in size, we sing exciting music at a much higher quality level, we are attracting singers of all ages, and all this happens in a friendly choral family.

The moment I walked into my first Somerset Hills Harmony rehearsal, I immediately loved this chorus. Everyone was so happy and friendly. There's something about it that is very different from my other (very large all-women's) chorus--although that chorus is great in a completely different way. This chorus feels more personal. And I discovered that I really enjoy singing in a "mixed" barbershop chorus, something I'd never done. I love those male voices! I also appreciate the every-other-week rehearsal schedule. At the same time, this is a chorus that is really looking to improve musically, and that's important to me, too. And I love the selection of music. So different from what I've been singing elsewhere. So I would definitely highly, highly recommend this chorus!
